Cold Snap Mammoth Earrings

$940.00

A stark contrast in shades of color, this pair of earrings displays that what appears to be the same on the exterior, might be different once we break through the surface.

Bright white tones are found towards the interior of a mammoth tusk with darker tones on the outer bark. Sub fossilized woolly mammoth ivory is a porous material and the outer bark soaks in minerals and sediments over the thousands of years that it is buried, changing the color and appearance. After a little digging, and polishing, vibrant beauty is hidden within.

Each earring is complimented by a hand panned gold nugget discovered on family claims.

Mammoth tusk discovered at The Boneyard Alaska certificate of authenticity included

Materials - 14k gold hooks and jump rings, 21k-22k naturally occurring gold nuggets and gold inlay, sub fossilized mammoth ivory ranging from 12,000 - 40,000 BP
